Answer: A.  Incumbent Donald Trump became the first to do so in 2025. Ronald Reagan conducted a virtual coin toss remotely from the White House before XIX in 1985. Former President George H.W. Bush did the coin toss in person at Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002 and Super Bowl LI in 2017.

 

  1. Though modern balls are made of cowhide leather, what is it nicknamed?

A: Hogshead

B: Boarshead

C: Swinebelly

D: Pigskin

Answer: D. It gained that ignominious title because the original balls were made from inflated pig bladders.

 

  1. Which product lent its name to the Super Bowl?

A: Super Glue

B: Super Soaker

C: Super Ball

Answer: C.  Kansas City Chief’s owner Lamar Hunt got the idea after watching his children playing with the highly bouncy “Wham-O Super Ball” in 1966. He jokingly suggested the game be called the Super Bowl; it caught on so fast that it became the contest’s official title in 1969.

Answer: B. This finger food is, far and away, the most widely eaten food on the big day, with an estimated 1.48 billion wolfed down in 2025. Pizza is in second place, with as many as 14 million pies served.
