Over the past year, I have attended countless events including parades, town halls, and small business events, where I have met thousands of voters in New Hampshire’s First Congressional District.

Throughout all of these visits, I have asked the people of New Hampshire if they are better off today than when they first elected President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Congressman Chris Pappas, and remarkably, the answer is a resounding no.

Event after event, voters mention how unhappy they were that Kamala Harris and Chris Pappas failed to secure our southern border and how they gutted good immigration ideas, like the Remain in Mexico Policy, because a Republican wrote it.

Today, thousands of illegal immigrants are flooding into our country, some of whom are violent criminals who are trafficking women and bringing drugs into our country.  Because of Kamala Harris and Chris Pappas’ open border policies, every town in America, including Laconia, Kingston, Rochester, and Wolfeboro, has become a border town.  If I am elected, we will streamline our immigration system, and that starts first with finishing the wall along our southern border.

Another concern that I have regularly heard from voters is the cost of living. From groceries to energy prices and housing, the cost of living in New Hampshire has become more expensive than ever, and it’s because Chris Pappas has never operated within a budget. Pappas has continually supported more spending, including forgiving student loans for his Harvard classmates, and as a result, this has created the worst inflation crisis in over 30 years.

To make matters worse, when it comes to providing affordable healthcare to our seniors, both Kamala Harris and Chris Pappas missed the mark again. Every year they have been in Washington, the cost of healthcare and prescription drugs continues to rise.  That’s not all; at the end of this year, thousands of seniors on Medicare Advantage will be kicked off their healthcare plan. As a small business owner, I know how important it is to have affordable healthcare, and I will work with anyone committed to solutions that will lower healthcare costs.

While there are so many more issues, I am truly humbled that many of my friends in New Hampshire believe I have solutions to fix the immigration problem, reduce the cost of living, and lower healthcare costs. I started this journey not because I wanted a career in Washington but because I am genuinely concerned about the direction of our country.  As your congressman, I’m willing to work on economic solutions to get our country back on track. When the job is done, I will pass the baton onto the next generation instead of overstaying my welcome like so many politicians do.

My name is Russell Prescott. I’m an engineer and small business owner from Kingston and on Tuesday, Nov. 5, I humbly ask for your support.
