It’s a special National School Choice Week edition of The New Hampshire Journal podcast. (Really, it is!)

Rep. Marjorie Porter (D-Hillsborough) celebrated by touting the fact she pulled her son out of public school and sent him to a private academy “and it was good we had that choice.” Alas, she opposes allowing low-income NH families to use their state education funding to do the same.

And a Derry, N. H. middle school announced students who are not “properly masked” will be forced into detention, where they were be re-educated about the need to wear proper masks. Surprisingly, some parents object.

Jason Bedrick of EdChoice is on hand to add hard data and research. The Josiah Bartlett Center’s Drew Cline’s in the show as well.

Hosted by Michael Graham.
