As we look ahead to the 2025-2026 legislative session, New Hampshire Republicans are committed to building on our successes and addressing the challenges that matter most to Granite Staters. From controlling state spending to empowering parents in their children’s education, we are focused on shaping a future that works for all New Hampshire families.

First and foremost, we will continue our fight to control state spending. Under Republican leadership, New Hampshire has consistently worked to balance the budget without raising taxes on our citizens. This is a principle that has served us well, and it is one we will carry forward as we craft the next biennial budget. We understand that the last thing Granite Staters need is a larger government that drains their hard-earned dollars.

In the next legislative cycle, our goal is to keep government spending in check, ensuring that your tax dollars are spent efficiently and effectively. We will scrutinize every line item in the budget, looking for waste, inefficiency, and opportunities for cost savings. This is not just about cutting costs; it’s about making strategic investments in the areas that matter most—like public safety, healthcare, and infrastructure—while ensuring that our state remains financially stable for future generations.

New Hampshire Republicans have long been champions of parental rights, and in the upcoming session, we will finally pass the Parental Bill of Rights. Every parent should have a say in their child’s education, from the classroom curriculum to the decisions made by school administrators. It’s time to make it clear that parents—not bureaucrats or distant politicians—should have the ultimate authority in shaping their children’s future.

The Parental Bill of Rights will give parents the tools they need to protect their children, ensuring transparency in schools and creating a system where parents are engaged in decisions regarding their child’s education. This is a critical step in restoring trust between parents, teachers, and schools, and it’s an issue that has been long overdue for action.

One of our greatest successes in recent years has been the creation of the Educational Freedom Accounts (EFAs), a program that allows families to direct state education funds toward the educational options that best fit their child’s needs. This program has already empowered thousands of families across the state, but we’re not done yet.

In the next legislative session, we will work to expand the EFAs universally, giving every New Hampshire family the freedom to choose the educational path that works best for their child. Whether it’s private school, homeschooling, or other innovative education models, parents deserve the flexibility to make decisions based on their child’s unique needs and circumstances.

As we prepare for 2025-2026, our agenda is clear. We will continue our efforts to control state spending, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are used responsibly and effectively. We will finally pass the Parental Bill of Rights, putting parents in the driver’s seat when it comes to their children’s education. And we will expand the Educational Freedom Accounts program, making sure that every family has access to the educational opportunities they deserve. These initiatives are not just about policy—they are about empowering Granite Staters, protecting families, and securing a brighter future for our children.

As Speaker of the New Hampshire House, I’m proud to lead a Republican team that is committed to making these goals a reality. Together, we will continue to build a New Hampshire that works for all of us.
