In 2020, I became an American citizen. I raised my right hand, took the oath, and felt a surge of pride and responsibility. I had been sitting on the sidelines of complacency with a legal green card for too long and knew I needed to start using my voice through my vote. Then in 2022, I put that belief to the test and ran for the New Hampshire House. Voters sent me there to fight for them. It was, and is, the honor of my life.
But it hasn’t been an easy road. Several months ago, a group of parents in a town I represent asked me for help after discovering a biological boy was using their daughters’ restroom. I attended the next school board meeting and politely asked for the board to create a policy so this would stop happening. The next morning, after five years at a job I loved, I was abruptly and coldly fired after speaking a simple truth: Boys don’t belong in girls’ bathrooms or private spaces. That moment was crushing. Yet it was also clarifying. It showed me just how far some will go to silence anyone who speaks up for common sense.
Then something remarkable happened. Turning Point Action, the movement Charlie Kirk built, gave me a new home. They didn’t just offer me a job. They offered me a mission. Leading up to the 2024 election, I watched intently as they energized Gen Z voters, knocked on doors, and refused to cede our culture to the left. Last November, their work helped flip races no one thought were winnable.
Just a few weeks ago, I had the privilege of meeting Charlie in person at a Turning Point training. He went around the room and asked us to introduce ourselves. When I said I was from New Hampshire, his eyes lit up and he asked, “Do you think we can win in New Hampshire?” I responded, “Yes, absolutely!” He said, “Ah, I love that! I’m excited for what’s happening in New Hampshire.” He was down-to-earth, humble, and kind. He didn’t just talk to us about saving the country; he built an army of young people who are already doing it.
And now, he’s gone. We’ve lost a giant. It feels like a punch in the gut. But Charlie would never want us to pause or retreat. He built something designed to outlast him.
Here in New Hampshire, the way to honor Charlie Kirk is simple: Pick up the torch. Organize locally. Tell the truth boldly. Fight for your kids, your communities, and your country. Don’t wait for permission. Don’t wait for perfect conditions. Don’t sit back and hope someone else will do it.
Charlie showed us that one voice, one campaign, one young leader can turn the tide. If we believe in freedom, we owe it to him—and to ourselves—to keep fighting.

I became an American by choice. I ran for office by conviction. I work at Turning Point Action because this fight matters. Charlie Kirk may be gone, but his mission isn’t. In New Hampshire and beyond, it’s our turn to carry it forward.
