In New Hampshire on the Fourth of July, presidential hopefuls were almost as hard to avoid as the rain as the candidates flooded the parade zones in Amherst, Merrimack and Wolfeboro.

The two frontrunners, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, weren’t on hand. Biden has pledged not to campaign in New Hampshire as part of the new primary calendar he’s attempting to push through via the Democratic National Committee. Trump did his campaigning via social media, including posting a “F*** Biden” meme on his Truth Social account.

But North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Texas Rep. Will Hurd, U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and Democrat Marianne Williamson all braved the rain to shake hands, hand out candy and greet Granite State voters.
