Failed former NHGOP Chairman Jack Kimball, who resigned his post  halfway through his tenure only moments before he was going to be ousted by the party’s executive committee, has announced he’s backing Andrew Hemingway for Chair.

Hemingway is involved in an extremely ugly and personal battle with fellow conservative activist Jennifer Horn to serve as the Party’s next Chair.

John DiStaso from the New Hampshire Union Leader was the first to report Kimball’s endorsement.

The endorsement is no surprise. Many of Kimball’s few remaining supporters – including Joe Barton, a man he called his “black opps guy” – have backed Hemingway for weeks.

UPDATE: Joe Barton email’s NH Journal the follow statement:

“I Have not publically endorsed Andrew Hemingway. I have publically raised questions and concerns about Jennifer Horn’s candidacy, but that doesn’t not mean I support Hemingway. Please update your article with that information. I didn’t know who to contact because it was written by a ‘staff’ reporter.”
